The weather outside today is not very post inspiring, it's grey, cold and raining enough to make you look like a bedraggled rat if you venture outside! So we did what you do in Holland when it rains, we got crafty.

Making a Mr Jongetje (as my daughter calls him - little boy in dutch)

Now we didn;t have many bits and pieces available, I must get a box of crafty bits made. So we raided our cupboards. To make him you will need:

A paper plate
2 cupcases
Some paper
Some cardboard
Streamers (last over from last years carnival)
Lollipop sticks
Paint
Glue
Scissors

Basically it isn't difficult to make !!! it was more a daughter led approach which sometimes I do love as it avoids that Fluffy Duck syndrome .

We just got the paper plate, painted it, added cupcake cases for eyes, screwed up paper for a nose and a lollipop stick for a mouth.
Then we concertined (is that a word?) some strips of paper for legs and arms and stuck them on.
We then made gloves and boots from the cardboard and painted them.
We added streamers for the hair effect.

He is now hanging in the kitchen still drying as the amount of paint used on him was enough to paint the whole room!!

We had fun and it killed a few hours on a rainy day!
